HCS Banner
Dear ,

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and Annual Dinner just this past week. It was wonderful to meet so many faces, old and new. In the midst of the camaraderie of Crimsons, we also got the chance to catch up with each other and congratulate and celebrate the life and accomplishments of our new HCS Fellow, Dr Ang Swee Chai. I know many were also impressed by the passion and calibre of the two representatives of the Prize Book Award - Ilyse Quek (ITE) and Umar Shah (RI) - who spoke to us. Thank you to the volunteers who worked on the Prize Book and the HCS Fellow for their careful consideration in the selection of these award recipients.

The biggest news, of course, is the announcement of the results of the election. This year, we had the highest participation rate of voting - close to 40% - and a revote for one position! The results are:
  • Andrew Nai, HBS GMP '13 was elected Vice President
  • Tan Choong Kiak, HBS MBA '94 was elected as Treasurer
  • Benjamin Goh, HKS MPP ’17 and Jiang Shuo, HGSE EDM ’22 were elected as ordinary members of the committe/board
Congratulations to the newly elects, who will take up their positions as of 1 May 2024.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our two outgoing committee members - Titus Yong, HGSE EdM ‘03, the current VP, and Gerald Tan HBS GMP '21. I know we will continue to see them at events and I encourage each of you to thank them for their service when you see them.

Have a wonderful April! We have lots more exciting things coming up and you can be a part of it too!

President of the Harvard Club of Singapore
