On 29 August morning, our Harvard alumni and families in Singapore came together to celebrate Harvard’s tradition of Day of Service by volunteering at an autism center in Singapore — our first annual Day of Service initiative as the Harvard Club of Singapore.
Together with the center’s team, we organized a morning of sports activities, including football and indoor games, for more than 70 participants.
It was incredibly heartwarming to see how enthusiastic and engaged everyone was. We also had the opportunity to learn more about the lives of the autism community and the important work of local support organizations.
Most importantly, this experience reminded us that while we came to give back, we may have gained even more from the participants themselves. ❤️
