Harvard University Association of Alumni in Singapore (1)
Dear reader,

I am sure you are all as relieved we are that Singapore has at last begun to relax some of the restrictions imposed due Covid-19. Personally, it has brought home how human and societal interaction are so vitally interwoven into our daily lives. The exchange of ideas, random thoughts and encounters, face-to-face discussions be it for business or pleasure - all exercise and stretch both the mind and the soul.

We at HUAAS are still exercising some caution, however, and the near-term events we have planned are still “virtual”… We hope to be able to hold our much delayed 2020 Annual Dinner in the autumn (was originally supposed to occur in March 2020 along with our AGM), but that too will be subject to developments on the coronavirus front.

In any event, please do note that the HAA overseers and directors elections are taking place this July - you might hear more from us as we highlight some of the international candidates. As an international Club, I do believe we have vested interest in increasing the international presence at HAA, assuming 20% of alumni reside outside of the US, we are still under-represented on both the Board of Overseers and the Elected Directors
.
Otherwise, wishing everyone a good July, and do enjoy being able to meet with small groups of friends and family again.
Please stay healthy, in body and spirit,

Best wishes,
Rebecca Woo (AB '89)
HUAAS President
