Chan School of Public Health \n\n\n\nAndrea Baccarelli\, MD\, PhD\, is the Dean of the Faculty at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. \n\n\n\nAn internationally recognized scientist and thought leader\, Dr. Baccarelli’s pioneering work has transformed our understanding of how environmental factors reshape the human epigenome and impact long-term health. Elected to the National Academy of Medicine for his groundbreaking research\, he has also explored diverse molecular mechanisms\, from epitranscriptomics to the microbiome\, helping guide public policies and advance global health innovations. Recognized as one of the world’s most highly cited scientists\, Dr. Baccarelli’s influence spans research\, education\, and policy. \n\n\n\nUnder his leadership\, Harvard Chan School is forging new paradigms in public health research\, education\, and community engagement\, grounded in expansive collaboration and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of excellence. Chavarro\, MD\, ScDDean for Academic Affairs\, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health \n\n\n\nJorge E. Chavarro is the Dean for Academic Affairs at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is also Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology at the School\, and Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. \n\n\n\nDr. Chavarro’s research focuses on understanding how nutritional\, lifestyle\, and metabolic factors impact human reproduction and reproductive milestones throughout the life course\, and how these events impact other aspects of health. \n\n\n\nHe is principal investigator of the Nurses’ Health Study 3\, an ongoing\, open\, web-based prospective cohort study of more than 50\,000 women. He also leads nutrition research within the EARTH Study\, which follows couples undergoing infertility treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital\, and is co-investigator of Project Viva\, where he focuses on women’s health throughout the life course.
