Workshop: Build your own AI agents

The Harvard Club of Singapore, together with the Old Rafflesians’ Association, invites you to a hands-on Saturday workshop where you build your own AI agents. This is a working session, not a demo — you’ll leave having built agents of your own for personal use.
- Over two hours we’ll cover what an AI agent actually is, the handful of patterns that make agents useful in real work, and how to put them together sensibly. Then we build: from a blank slate, through prompts and tools, to working agents you can continue developing at home.
- Who it’s for: alums who want practical fluency rather than more theory. No prior coding experience is required — you should just be comfortable finding your way around your own laptop.
- Capacity is capped on purpose. We want the session to be hands-on with a comfortable troubleshooter-to-participant ratio. Volunteer troubleshooters from the Harvard and Rafflesian alumni communities will be on hand throughout to help you build, debug and improve your agents throughout the session.
- Prerequisite: a paid Claude Pro subscription (S$25/month), and we will also send you basic instructions via email so you come prepared.
- Bring: a laptop with at least two hours of power (charging points are limited) + hot-spot from your mobile phone. Provided: coffee, tea, refreshments (and limited WiFi).
When: Saturday, 5 September 2026, doors 2:30pm, session 3:00–5:00pm.
Where: LT2, Yusof Ishak Block (Level 1), Raffles Institution, 1 Raffles Institution Lane, Singapore 575954. Please note there are two lecture theatres called LT2 on the RI campus. Ours is the one in the Yusof Ishak Block, not the one in Block C.
Fees: $10 for Dues-Paying Members (DPM) · $25 for non-DPM and guests.
