Workshop: Build your own AI agents

The Harvard Club of Singapore, in collaboration with the Old Rafflesians’ Association (ORA), invites you to a hands-on Saturday afternoon workshop on building your own AI agents. This is a working session, not a demo. Each participant will leave having built multiple agents of their own.

Over two hours, we will cover what an AI agent actually is, the small set of patterns that make agents useful in real workflows, and how to compose them safely. We will then build together: starting from a blank slate, working through prompts, tool use, and short loops, and finishing with working agents each participant can take home and continue developing.

Capacity is deliberately capped to keep the session hands-on and interactive, with a comfortable troubleshooter-to-participant ratio. Trained troubleshooters will be on hand throughout to help participants debug, unblock, and improve their agents as they build.

Who this is for: alumni who want practical fluency rather than more theory. No prior coding experience is required, but you should be comfortable navigating your personal laptop.

Prerequisite: a paid Claude Pro subscription (S$25 per month). You can prepare in advance, or we will help you set it up during the session.

What to bring: a laptop with sufficient power to last 2 hours (there will not be sufficient charging ports for everyone).

Provided: Wi-Fi, coffee & tea, and refreshments.
