Webinar – Reimagining Capitalism in a World on Fire
August 5 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am SMT
Since at least the industrial revolution, capitalism has done an amazing job of driving the world’s economic growth. There have been hiccups, certainly. A monopoly here, abusive labor practices there, but the rise of the middle class owes its existence to the free exercise of capitalism. Other systems? They were tried but crashed. Now, with all that is going on around us, should we ask if capitalism needs a version 2.0? As wealth concentrates, is capitalism destabilizing society? Is there a better way?
In this timely talk, Harvard Business School Professor Rebecca Henderson, an innovation and organizational change expert, will share her research and new book – Reimagining Capitalism in a World on Fire.
• To what degree can/should the private sector play a major role in building a more sustainable economy?
• What should be the relationship between organizational purpose, innovation, and productivity in high-performing organization?
• How can purpose-driven companies be at the heart of a systemic rethinking of capitalism?
• How can businesses be a catalyst for recovery and find innovative ways of working in a post COVID-19 world?
