IDEAS Lunch series: Sustainable Finance with Kristin Anguelova, WWF

Originally from Bulgaria, Kristina Anguelova currently leads World Wildlife Foundation’s Asia Sustainable Finance Initiative (ASFI), a multi-stakeholder platform that aims to harness the power of the finance sector to build climate-resilient, nature-positive economies. ASFI engages and trains capital markets participants on key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues in sectors like food and agriculture, energy, infrastructure and others.
She will give an overview of Sustainable Finance and the impact that lending and investment activities can have on the environment; one initiative is the ASFI Academy, where finance sector professionals are trained on ESG principles – this will also be rolled out to the general public in Singapore, via a tool called $ustain.
