Harvard Club of Singapore Annual Dinner 2025

The Harvard Club of Singapore (HCS) Annual Dinner 2025 will be held at One Farrer Hotel and we look forward to welcome all HCS members and their guests to an enjoyable night of delicious food, wine and networking. 

Our esteemed Guest of Honour for this Annual Dinner will be Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore since 2024 and Minister for Trade and Industry since 2021. He is also the Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and is responsible for the Strategy Group in the Prime Minister’s Office. In addition, Mr Gan is a member of the Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council and the National Research Foundation Board.

Mr Gan entered politics in 2001 and is a Member of Parliament (MP) for Chua Chu Kang GRC. He has held positions in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Health. He also helmed the Ministerial Committee on Ageing, to drive the formulation and implementation of ageing policies in Singapore, and co-chaired the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on COVID-19 from 2020 to 2023, which directed and coordinated Singapore’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Gan was awarded the Overseas Merit Scholarship to read Engineering in Cambridge University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in 1981. Mr Gan subsequently obtained his Master’s degree in Engineering from Cambridge University in 1985. 

We look forward to Mr Gan’s keynote speech to be delivered at our Dinner.

Other notable guests expected to attend our Annual Dinner will be our past HCS Harvard Fellow Awardees, i.e. T. Sasitharan, Dr Noeleen Heyzer and Professor Wang Gungwu.

• SGD 300 each for Harvard schools’ alumni (non-HCS Paid Member) and 1 Guest
