[UPDATE – POSTPONED] Fireside Chat with Prof. Peter Rowe, Harvard Graduate School of Design

Whether in a mature metropolis or a rapidly-growing city, societies around the world face the challenge of managing urbanization. The former Dean of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard, Professor Rowe, has researched cities and advised on urban planning projects from Spain to China. In this fireside chat open to people of all backgrounds, he will discuss how the field of urban planning has evolved, what it can offer to cities today, and what trends to look forward to in coming decades.
About the Speaker: Prof. Peter Rowe is the Raymond Garbe Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, and a Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor. In addition serving as GSD Dean from 1992-2004, he was Chairman of the Urban Planning and Design Department from 1988-1992, and Director of the Urban Design Programs from 1985-1990.
