Achieving Real Mental Health – Self- Healing before Self-Care

What comes to mind when you think of Self-Care? How do you cope with stress and anxiety or manage your emotional and mental health?
Beyond buzzwords, what does it mean to care for your mental health? How do you know if you are just stressed out, or if you have a more serious anxiety disorder that warrants treatment? What stories do we tell ourselves when we experience failure / stress / etc, and how can we better identify these cognitive distortions when they appear?
Using (anonymized) case studies / real-world examples from his own stories, Sam Kuna will share from his 30 plus years of counseling experience to help you cut through the fog and discover the difference between mental health issues and mental health care. Referencing to recent scientific research on mental health he will also recommend some tips for managing mental health and discuss practical concepts surrounding self-healing and self-care that you could immediately put into practice.
