The room buzzed with energy as alumni filled every seat on a Thursday morning, eager to hear Dean Hopi share what’s happening on campus. Her words reminded us why we’re proud to be part of Harvard—even amid challenges, the Crimson spirit burns brighter than ever, rooted in what brings us together.
Dean Hopi painted an exciting picture: Harvard scholars pushing boundaries across every field, groundbreaking research and inquiry advancing from labs to libraries, and our alma mater reimagining education for the next generation of leaders on a needs-blind, flag-blind basis. The legacy we built continues to evolve.
But her most powerful message was beautifully simple: stay connected. Not a call for donations or grand gestures—just connection. Dean Hopi emphasized that the Harvard community thrives when we engage with one another, when we show up, when we remain part of something larger than ourselves. Your presence matters. Showing up to events
like this one, staying in touch with fellow alumni, being part of the conversation—that’s what strengthens our community.
If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to join the Club, or thinking you need to do something more before you engage, this is your invitation to reconsider. Membership isn’t about what you can give—it’s about being present, being connected, and living out Dexter Gate’s call to “depart to serve better thy country and thy kind.” There’s a seat waiting for you at our next gathering. Join us.
