On 27 September, our fellow Harvard alumni, their families and friends came together under the glow of an almost full moon to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. It was an evening filled with laughter, fun, love and a reminder of a cherished tradition that brings generations together.
The event’s highlights were:
- The aroma of delicious food — baked and colourful snowkin mooncakes, a variety of local wok-fried dishes, peranakan snacks and cakes, and hot fragrant tea.
- A fun DIY lantern making and decorating activity, followed by a relaxing moonlit riverbank stroll with those bright lanterns that delighted both kids and adults as they also enjoyed the view of the serene Kallang river and multi-colored Singapore Sports Hub background.
- Memorable photos from the evening that captured our alumni’s families and their kids’ bonding, radiant smiles and colourful-lit lanterns.
- Positive feedback received from the attendees, e.g. “It was so much fun! What a great party!” ~ Candice, wife of Jeremy Au; “It’s one of the best mid-autumn festival celebrations I’ve ever been to.” ~ Jiang Shuo.
Last but not least, heartfelt thanks to Titus Yong and his family for their warm and gracious hospitality in hosting us at their lovely residence, and the Events Subcommittee for their tremendous efforts in organising this successful gathering.
