On Saturday the 26th of April, around 25 Ivy Leaguers (plus
guests) gathered at the FOC club on Palawan beach in
Sentosa. We had a nice afternoon of cool drinks, Spain-
inspired snacks, some exciting discussions as well as some
solid rounds of volleyball.

The gathering started at 2pm, with the net already having
been set up right in front of our beach tables. The scorching
hot sun forced us to hide away under the umbrellas initially,
which allowed for an interesting exchange between all
guests from different schools. More and more players
started showing up, and we had some interesting
discussions, not even shying away from politics.

As the weather cooled down towards the evening, the
group became more active, with the most motivated
athletes playing pretty much non stop. We also managed to
include the newcomers into the games, showing them the
ropes and then having them play with the bigger group. It
was a pleasure to spend time with Alumni from various
schools, such as Yale and Brown (which had the strongest
turnout), but also Columbia and even Insead. We hope to
repeat the event again in a couple of months, depending on
the feedback we get.
